In order to assure geographic distribution, the individuals on the left have been nominated from their conferences in accordance with our synod constitution.

S10.07.A95. Each Conference shall nominate one (1) voting member and one (1) alternate voting member from each conference to the Churchwide Assembly of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

The names of the individuals so nominated shall be placed in a resolution from the Nominating Committee that states that the individuals named have been nominated by the conferences and that approval of the resolution before the Synod Assembly constitutes their election to the Churchwide Assembly.

The balance of authorized voting members to a given Churchwide Assembly will be nominated by the Nominating Committee and elected by the Synod Assembly, with the persons receiving the highest number of votes for each position voted upon being the voting member and the persons receiving the second highest number of votes being the alternate voting member.
