The 2008 ELCA Rural Ministry Annual Gathering will be July 16-19, 2008 at Midland Lutheran College Fremont, Nebraska. This annual gathering provides a place where participants hear, witness, and learn about concrete models of hope. Each workshop, presentation, and exhibit contains tangible models of hope that you can use or adapt in your own ministry setting. Participants include lay people, rostered, and ecumenical guests. July 7-16, 2008 Wartburg Youth Leadership School is a ten day experience held on the campus of Wartburg Theological Seminary. WYLS gathers 25 high school youth for an ultimate faith journey as they share adventure, service, study, music and worship. The youth are challenged to live out the Gospel and ask themselves, "How am I gifted and called to lead?" Invitations for nominations have been sent to congregations and synods.
