Our New Companion Relationship with India

Dear and Honourable Bishop Gary Wollersheim,

Greetings to you in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I am glad to inform you that the Church Board of the Arcot Lutheran Church which met on the 9th of September, 2006 had whole heartedly endorsed the plan to have companion relationship with the Northern Illinois Synod and had authorized me to work out the details with you. So we can go ahead with the necessary procedures.

Kindly convey my regards to your family members and to the members of your synod who visited us.

Still I haven't got the schedule for the meeting in Sweden. I will let you know as soon as I get the information.

Dear Most Reverend Bishop Gideon Devanesan,

Grace, mercy and peace be unto you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

In a meeting of the Northern Illinois Synod Council on September 9, 2006 it was unanimously and enthusiastically approved to enter into a Companion relationship with the Arcot Lutheran Church. I rejoice in this historic vote and in the like decision made by the Church Board of the Arcot Lutheran Church. It will be a blessing to us to walk with you, as we strive to be faithful to our Lord’s call.

I have asked Karin Graddy, one of my staff members, to put your office on our mailing list so that you might learn more about our ministries here. If it is possible, please do the same for us.

I look forward to your upcoming visit. God willing, we also look forward to visiting India perhaps in January 2008.
