Dear Friends in Christ:

Plans are in full swing for a wonderful time for fellowshipping, worshipping and growing in faith. Our theme for our 18th Annual NISWO Convention is "Act Boldly. Share the Peace!"

The scripture verse chosen is from II Corinthians 13:11 (NIV) "Finally, brothers, good-by. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you."

Bishop Gary Wollersheim will be bringing our morning message. Mary Ellen Kiesner, our past churchwide president, is our guest speaker. Amy Kiesner, Mary Ellen's daughter, will bring us a song of worship through signing. Marie Tesch, our churchwide board member, will give a Bible study/faith story after lunch. Other surprises are in store for you, too. Mission and ministry displays will be available for you to enjoy. Bible bookstore items and Equal Exchange products will be on sale.

Although registration forms are due August 1st and September 1st, please make your motel reservations earlier. Since Monmouth is a college town with many weekend fall activities, blocks of rooms are being held for us through July. Please see the attached "Motel Listing" sheet and make your reservations soon. In doing so, you can enjoy a Friday evening concert with the "Spirit's Harmony," an all male quartet. The concert will be held in the church sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. They are great! A freewill offering will be taken.

Registration forms for delegate, alternate, scholarships are due August 1st. Participant forms are due September 1st. Please photo copy the participant's form. An offering envelope is included to be used at the convention or you can send it in to Pat Van Blair, NISWO Treasurer.
