Has your congregation registered its lay voting members for the 20th Annual Northern Illinois Synod Assembly? It is very important that every congregation send not only its rostered leaders, but lay voting members. Registration deadline was May 1! How do we reach out to the unchurched in our city? How do we make disciples instead of just members? How do we, as a congregation, share God’s love and grace with those who don’t yet know about it? Paul Hoffman, a leader in  in Faith Formation for Adults from Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church in Seattle, WA will lead a two-day training event for congregational leaders to learn more about bringing faith to the unchurched in the 21st Century. Trinity, Rockford invites you to BEYOND CHURCH GROWTH: MAKING DISCIPLES, an information and training event for pastors, church membership committees, lay leaders, and everyone who seeks to fulfill the Great Commission: “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Friday night, June 22 and Saturday, June 23 at Trinity, Rockford, 200 N. First Street. Find out more by downloading a registration brochure. Cost is $15 for both days (lunch/coffee breaks included).
