Women Leaders of the Synod are invited to the annual
Women Leaders' Retreat, January 21-22, 2008 at Bishop
Lane Retreat Center in Rockford. This year's title is
Breathe-Sing-Pray: Conversations with God Through Sound and
Movement with keynote speaker Mary Preus. Cost is $85, which
includes a private room with bath and four meals. Massages

Mid-Winter
Convocation Focuses on Heart, Mind and Spirit. In
today's world, what does it mean to engage Scripture in the
Lutheran tradition? Luther Seminary's Mid-Winter
Convocation, scheduled for Jan. 9-11, 2008, will
provide you with background and ideas on how to develop,
nurture and affirm the calling to bring Scripture to your
congregation. Several speakers and preachers will teach
attendees about Engaging Scripture in a Lutheran Key with
Heart, Mind and Spirit.
