This is the last week of this 9-week feature (copy & use these blurbs in your bulletins, newsletters or stewardship materials!): You can be proud to be a member of the ELCA! Look at some of the ministries YOU make possible through your congregation, synod, and churchwide organization. When you hear the stories you will proudly say, "Wow, the ELCA is really doing a lot!" You are making a difference in the world, and you can feel good about that. Thank you for your generosity through your regular and designated giving to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. These stories illustrate the ministries YOU make possible through your congregation, synod and churchwide organization. As you give your regular offering, remember that it is not just money—it is possibility! Read all the stories that have been featured here in Walking Together in the Annex - and find out more at www.elca.org .

Did you know that the largest gathering of women and girls in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America will take place in Salt Lake City this summer? You are invited to "Come to the Waters" to be refreshed, inspired, and connected July 10-13, 2008. In addition to fun, fellowship, worship, exhibits, and servant events, educational opportunities include workshops and speakers such as Sister Joan Chittister. This weekend will teach, encourage, and challenge you to come to a greater understanding of your faith and what it means to live out your baptismal call. Visit www.womenoftheelca.org/tg08/ or phone 1-800-638-3522, ext. 2737, to request a registration booklet for this exciting event. Bring your daughter, friends, relatives, and other congregation members. Registration is open through the gathering; however, the discounted registration fee ends January 31.
Coming Up on Grace Matters ...
Immaculée Ilibagiza (Part II) –
Forgiving the Unforgivable. Immaculée Ilibagiza returns for the second of a two-part series on the tragedy of the Rwandan genocide of 1994. She is the author of the book, Left to Tell, a gripping narrative of the ordeal that left her family and most of her village dead. In this broadcast Immaculée relives the jail encounter that brought her face-to-face with the killer who stabbed her parents and brother to death. This woman of faith will reawaken the power of forgiveness for all who are seeking a new way of life. Find air times and stations, and read more at www.gracematters.org
