It can be a joy to hear someone who writes extensively and well actually talk about the words that comprise his or her writing. That is the privilege of this edition of Grace Matters. Eugene Peterson, who translated the entire Bible into the contemporary translation, The Message, speaks to different words in the Christian vocabulary. He talks candidly about the power and gift of some words, and the detriment and misuse of others. Find air times and stations, and read more at www.gracematters.org

Restorative Justice Seminar Friday and Saturday, March 7 and 8, Wartburg Theological Seminary. As our prisons continue to fill with inmates and tax dollars are funneled to build yet more prisons to punish yet more persons, the challenges before faith communities are many. How should people of faith respond? Is punitive justice really the most faithful response to growing crime rates? What is a faith community's responsibility to the victim? To the perpetrator? To help address these and similar questions, Wartburg Theological Seminary will once again host a weekend seminar "Understanding Connections between Faith Communities, the Criminal Justice System, and Restorative Justice." For more information and to register for the course, please call Dr. Gwen Sayler at 589-0302 or email gsayler@wartburgseminary.edu
