A little over a year ago LSSI sent out a survey within Illinois to determine the social ministry congregations were involved in. Four conferences in Northern Illinois indicated rural ministry first. The rural ministry task force of the NIS created a follow-up survey through LSSI to seek better clarity on the needs and opportunities of rural ministry. The focus of the questions would be to see if there are ways that LSSI can cooperatively work in areas as well as ways that rural ministry can be addressed at a Synod level. There are two survey links, one for lay and one for clergy. We ask that you would encourage those in your area to take a few minutes and fill out the on-line survey. Pastor survey or Non-Pastor Survey. Your time is appreciated and we look forward to ways to support the good ministry that is already occurring.
