Fast Facts: According to the Bread for the World Web site ( www.bread.org ), in the developing world, 26 percent of children under 5 are moderately to severely underweight. 10 percent are severely underweight. 11 percent of children under 5 are moderately to severely wasted, or seriously below weight for one's height, and an overwhelming 32 percent are moderately to severely stunted, or seriously below normal height for one's age.

Bulletin Board 

Immanuel Lutheran Church, Amboy is in need of an organist.  As a full time 'part time' position, this person will work with the choir director,  must be available to play for worship services on Saturday evening and Sunday morning,  as well as choir practices and performances from September through May.  Choir practice is weekly on Wednesday night and the choir performs twice a month on Sunday morning.  This is a paid position, but it is also an important ministry.    Please contact Pastor Vicki Sauter if you are interested, 815-857-2225, or ilutheranamboy@comcast.net.


Director of Student Ministries - Light of Christ, Algonquin is a growing congregation seeking a full-time Director to oversee hundreds of students in our 6th-12th grade ministries.  Outstanding people, organizational and communication skills needed to develop, encourage and support students, leaders and families.  Our team based ministry model requires the recruitment, development and support of numerous volunteers.  Exposure to larger church setting preferred.  For position description or to submit resume contact pastorsharon@lightofchristchurch.com
