Churchwide Resources
In a little more than two months, the ELCA Churchwide Assembly, this church's highest legislative authority, will open in Minneapolis. Theassembly Web site has information about the topics voting members will consider, registration information and other information about the event. 
   
Augsburg Fortress is currently exploring the development of congregational devotional resources in relation to the Book of Faith Initiative. Pleasetake a brief survey and share your needs and practices regarding devotional materials.
   
Fast Facts: According to the Bread for the World Institute's 2009 Hunger Report, "Forty-four percent of U.S. foreign assistance spending goes to just six countries, all allies in the war on terror of the war on drugs." (p. 90). Contact your congressperson to express your support of H.R. 2139 the Initiating Foreign Assistance Reform Act of 2009. More on the bill...

Summer Camp does a kid good
Walking TogetherThis week marks the beginning of 9 weeks of fun and growth in the faith for our youth through experiencing God in an outdoor setting atLOMC(Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center) andLutherdale. There are still spots open for your child to have a very affordable week with College Aged young adults that have been trained in the safe ways to have fun at camp.  Opportunities abound for your child to grow closer to God while making new friends at camp.
