Synod Prayers

Pr. Jennifer Beamsley at the death of her grandmother, Anna Lee Pille, on November 4.

Walking TogetherMost of you have heard of the shootings at Fort Hood, the largest active duty armed post in the U.S. Located an hour NW of Austin; Fort Hood is 340 square miles and 52,000 troops. At this point 12 are reported dead and over 30 injured.
In the prayers of the church on Sunday, please pray for Chaplain Richard Brunk, the families of those who were murdered and for the wounded.  Also pray for all those in the military, especially troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Almighty God, bless your servant Richard at this time of trial. Give him strength for the ministry to which you have called him, that he might be a blessing to those in distress.
God of hope, you bless those who suffer, those who mourn, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. Give aid to all who are grieving in the wake of the shooting at Fort Hood. Send your holy angels to watch over them, that they may know the comfort that only you can give.
