Robert B Gronlund Stewardship Lecture Series
April 16-17, 2010 at Wartburg Seminary. Church leaders need information and experiential training in sound stewardship understanding and principles for themselves and tools to re-create this with their parishioners. This annual lecture series will provide practical and contextual in-depth learning opportunities in an interactive format, exploring a number of stewardship-themed topics and issues with one of the top professionals in the field - Dr. Mark Allan Powell.
Powell offers a "No-Gimmicks" approach to stewardship that:
-focuses on more than just "how to get people's money"
-moves beyond the rhetoric of "more, more, more!"
-replaces guilt with gratitude
-inculcates the spiritual fruit of generosity
-recaptures the offering as an act of worship
-transforms duty into delight
