What will global media cultures mean for Christian leadership and leaders? This course will explore these and other questions. Register today!
April 26-30 - Congregational Best Practices. In this course, participants will learn of congregational outreach strategies that are effective in a variety of ministry settings. Topics addressed will include Lutheran Evangelism in an Increasingly Non-denominational and Secular Culture, Making Outreach Your Congregation's Top Priority, Effective Financial Stewardship in a Tough Economy and more.

June 7-9, 2010 - Jesus and the Gospels: A Crash Course on Recent Biblical Scholarship That's Worth Knowing. Haven't read much from the world of biblical scholarship since you were a seminary student? Find it hard to keep up with what scholars are writing about Jesus? Is it difficult to separate what's good from what's not worth your time? We'll discuss three well-written and thoughtful books, each published recently and each a reasonable length, that contribute much to our understanding of Jesus and the Gospels.

May 10-12, 2010 - Process Preaching: A System for Delivering Extemporaneous Sermons. Process Preaching is a system for delivering sermons freely without reading a manuscript or simply speaking off the cuff. The system emphasizes the importance of first creating the sermon by writing a full manuscript. Without reading or memorizing the manuscript, preachers are then taught to speak freely what they have written through a specific kind of oral rehearsal. Process Preaching enables the preacher to use oral language to express the thoughts and ideas of a written text.
