Cry Out Against Hunger. Art Simon, founder of Bread for the World will speak at a prayer service March 25 at 7 pm at the 2nd Congregational Church, 318 N Church St in Rockford and at a Soup Lunch, Friday, March 26 at noon at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 3300 Rural Street in Rockford. Bulletin Board
Immanuel  Lutheran Church, Amboy is looking for a pianist to accompany the choir. Familiarity with Lutheran liturgy and music is helpful.  The choir performs 2 times per month, 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month, practice is every Wednesday at 6:30.  There are no practices or performances during the summer.  This is a paid position, based on the number of pratices and performances each month. Interested persons are to call the church 815-857-2225.
