What an assembly it was!
 Bishop Wollersheim was re-elected on the first ballot with a convincing 76.6% of the ecclesiastical ballot.
 Jan Veseth was ordained into the ministry of Word and Sacrament at the festival worship service Friday evening. She will serve Augustana, Andover.
 GPS (God's People Serving) Faith Community in Machesney Park was welcomed as a new congregation in the Northern Illinois Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Find out more about GPS here.
 Synod attendees participated in Bible Studies on the Faith Practices of the church. These excellent Bible Study videos will be on the Synod website as soon as possible. There will be an announcement here in WT when they become available.
 Faithful people were elected to synodical leadership positions. See all election results.
Resolutions were passed regarding diakonia, energy stewardship, Board of Pension retirement  funds for rostered leaders, and global relief.
The 2011 budget of $2,479,000 was passed unanimously!
 There were many celebrations honoring 50th anniversaries of ordination, retirements, 25 years of Rockford Area Lutheran Ministries, new Lutheran Youth Organization officers, and more.
