Lay leaders and clergy in rural settings will find resources for ministry through the Rural Ministry Task Force and Synod Consultant, Jonathan Black. The following are some useful websites for information related to rural ministry.

The ELCA desk for Small Town and Rural Ministries (STAR alliance) is a ministry committed to sharing the promise of hope for rural people, churches and communities through presence, resources, education, advocacy, and networking.  http://www.elca.org/rural

The following is an ELCA resource I have used and have found helpful.  It contains both liturgies for a variety of occasions as well as sermon tips for Rural ministry.  It can be found at http://www.elca.org/rural/resources/worshipresources.html  press to download a 151 page worship resource book for rural ministry complied by the rural ministry committee of the Interchurch Ministries of Nebraska.

Wartburg Seminary’s Center for Land and Theology offers many links, workshops and classes related to rural ministry.  http://www.ruralministry.com/

The Churches Center for Land and People works ecumenically for the well-being of the rural communities of Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois  http://www.cclpmidwest.org/

The Food Resource Bank is a Christian response to world hunger.  It provides an opportunity for linking farming communities with more urban areas to fight world hunger.   http://www.foodsresourcebank.org/
