The Northern Illinois Synod Mission Gatherings will begin September 19. See the schedule on the right to find the Mission Gathering scheduled in your conference. If you can’t make the Mission Gathering in your conference, please find another Mission Gathering to attend.
Pastors, congregation council members, stewardship and evangelism leaders, congregational communicators, as well as other interested members are encouraged to participate. Everyone is welcome!
Sometimes we, as members of Lutheran congregations in the Northern Illinois Synod, feel unqualified to tell the story of how we work together to make Christ known. There are marvelous stories to hear and tell in each of our congregations, in the synod, and in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
“Faithful, Welcoming, Generous” is the theme of this year’s Mission Gatherings. That is also the title of a DVD, which will be introduced at these events. It has produced by the synod to help our members tell the story. Every congregation will receive a copy of the DVD as well as other helpful information to help you make Christ known. Please be sure your congregation is represented at one of the Mission Gatherings. You won’t want to miss it.
Registration for Mission Gatherings is at 6:30 pm. The event will run from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. |
